How to Obtain Specifications

iVDR Specifications may be obtained by any of the following three methods.
  • Obtaining of publicly disclosed specifications (specification outline). May be obtained free of charge as explained below.
  • Obtaining of regular specifications with charges. Explained below.
  • Obtaining of regular specifications by joining the Consortium. Refer to Membership, How to join the iVDR Consortium

How to obtain regular specifications(with charges)
A new system has been established for non-members to obtain regular specifications for the purpose of contemplating to join the Consortium. The following explains the conditions and procedures for obtaining regular specifications.
Conditions:
A Non-disclosure Agreement to be concluded with the Consortium.
Amount: 800,000 yen per annum (Please transfer the amount to a designated account within 30 days after concluding of the NDA.)
Limited to corporate membership.
* Under this system, only obtaining of specification documents is possible. Joining the Consortium will be required to produce or sell products under iVDR specifications.
* The effective period shall be for one year after concluding of the NDA.
* If a party joins the consortium within the fiscal year (by December of each fiscal year) after concluding of the NDA, the annual fees for that year shall be exempted.
(Example)
In case the NDA is concluded and transferring the amount in July, 2005 and a party joins the Consortium in October, 2005 payment of annual fees for the 2005 fiscal year shall be exempted.
In case the NDA is concluded and transferring the amount in July, 2005 and a party joins the Consortium in January, 2006 payment of annual fees for the 2006 fiscal year will be required.

Specifications which may be obtained:
Specifications which have been issued at the time of concluding the Agreement.
Specifications which are newly adopted and issued during the effective period.
Procedures on obtaining of specifications:
  1. Download the application form, enter necessary items, and e-mail to the Secretariat (info@ivdr.org)

  2. Immediately upon receiving of the application form, the Secretariat will send two copies of the NDA, signed by the representative of the Consortium, and a bill for charges. Upon receiving the document, the applicant shall enter the necessary items and mail one copy to the Secretatiat with two calling cards of the person in charge enclosed. The applicant shall retain one copy.
     
  3. The applicant shall pay the specification charges by transferring the amount to a designated account.
     
  4. Upon confirming the NDA and payment by transfer into the account, all specifications will be e-mailed from the Secretariat.

    Note:The Secretariat shall send regular NDA documents after an application is accepted.
