A newly-developed field recorder, “iVDR VC102” (image top) compatible with iVDR-EX
was displayed at Shining Technology’s booth. Incorporating iVDR-EX,
this field recorder realizes interconnections between HDV or DVCPRO
types of
video camera recorders using i.LINK (IEEE1394) interface and enables
to records video data on iVDR-EX simultaneously with recording on
the tape, and iVDR-EX can be used with PCs for editing without capturing
process,
which is normally required to the tape media. To compare with existing
field recorder with built-in HDD, this iVDR-EX, a portable HDD makes
it easy
to hand a video data over to the editing process only by taking out
an iVDR-EX just after shooting. Also, you can quickly start next
shooting by just inserting another iVDR-EX without taking the adapter
unit out from
the camera device. This field recorder makes it possible to realize
low cost, effective and quick work flow to every broadcasting system.
Their
exciting exhibition received great responses from many visitors throughout the show.
*Shining Technology, Inc developed a field recorder, “iVDR VC102” based on the technical relationship with Hitachi Maxell, Ltd.
